Hemming and grommets are included at no extra charge, and finishing options like pole pockets and wind slits are available to suit your specific installation.

13 oz. vs. 18 oz. — which is right for you? The 13 oz. matte vinyl is our standard material and handles most indoor and outdoor applications well. Choose the 18 oz. blockout if you need maximum durability — it's scrim-reinforced with a blockout layer between two vinyl faces, making it the right call for street banners, light poles, and long-term outdoor installations.
Shipping note: Banners with a shortest side of 88" or under ship rolled. Banners with a shortest side of 89" or larger ship folded.
Vinyl banners don't require a separate template — just build your artwork to the exact dimensions of the size you're ordering. Follow the guidelines below for the best print results.
File setup checklist: ✔ Build artwork at the exact ordered size (e.g. a 72"×36" banner = a 72"×36" file) ✔ 150 dpi minimum resolution at full size ✔ CMYK color mode — do not use Pantone or spot colors ✔ Convert all fonts to outlines before saving ✔ Do not include crop marks or bleed ✔ For double-sided orders, upload front and back as two separate files ✔ Keep text and logos at least 3–4" from edges where hemming or pole pockets will be applied

Both materials are UV printed, waterproof, and suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The 13 oz. matte vinyl is our standard material and works well for most banners. The 18 oz. blockout matte vinyl is heavier and scrim-reinforced with a blockout layer between two vinyl faces — it’s the right choice for street banners, light pole banners, and any long-term outdoor installation that needs to hold up in tough conditions.
For small or temporary banners, corner grommets are usually sufficient. For large outdoor banners — anything 6 feet or wider — grommets every 2–3 feet distribute tension more evenly and help the banner resist wind and sag. Pole pockets work best when you’re displaying the banner on a horizontal pole or rod, such as on a tent frame or between two uprights.
Wind slits are small cuts made in the banner material to let air pass through, reducing the force a banner takes in windy conditions. They’re recommended for large outdoor banners in open or exposed locations. For consistently windy areas, a mesh banner may be a better alternative because the perforated material allows more air to pass through. If your banner will be in a sheltered spot or indoors, you likely don’t need wind slits.
Submit your artwork at 150 dpi minimum, built at the exact size you’re ordering. For large-format prints, 150 dpi at full size is sufficient — you don’t need 300 dpi the way you would for smaller printed pieces. Lower resolutions like 72 dpi may look acceptable on screen but will appear blurry on the finished print.
We accept JPEG and PDF (single page only). Use CMYK color mode, do not include crop marks or bleeds, and convert all fonts to outlines before saving. For double-sided orders, upload front and back as two separate files. Before submitting your order, carefully review your artwork, spelling, layout, and sizing to make sure everything is correct.
Yes — hems, grommets, and pole pockets use material at the edges of the banner. Keep all important text, logos, and graphics well inside the safe zone. The default pole pocket is 3 inches wide, so keep critical elements at least 3–4 inches from the edge on sides where a pocket is applied.

Once you upload your artwork, you’ll review it and check a confirmation box verifying it’s correct before your order moves into production — there’s no separate proof step for uploaded artwork. If our in-house design team creates your banner for you, we’ll share a design proof for your approval before it goes to print.
