Your business card is often the first physical impression someone has of your brand. It goes in a wallet, gets pinned to a board, or sits on a desk — and every time someone looks at it, they're looking at you. A well-designed card on quality stock says something about your attention to detail that a digital contact exchange simply can't replicate.
Bellia prints business cards on premium cardstock in a range of finishes — gloss, matte, and soft touch — with full color printing front and back. Standard 3.5"×2" or square format, your own artwork or designed by our in-house team. Whatever you need to make a lasting impression, we can print it.
Based in Woodbury, NJ, we've been helping South Jersey professionals and businesses put their best card forward since 1973.
A business card only has a few seconds to make an impression. Avoid these common mistakes to make sure yours gets kept instead of tossed.
A business card isn't a brochure. Focus on your name, company, contact information, and one clear message or specialty.
If someone has to squint to read your phone number or email address, they're less likely to contact you. Prioritize readability over squeezing in more information.
Blurry logos immediately make a business look unprofessional. Always use high-resolution artwork or vector files whenever possible.
The reverse side is valuable real estate. Add your services, a QR code, appointment reminder, social media, or another call-to-action instead of leaving it blank.
Paper weight and finish influence how your business is perceived. Premium cover stocks create a stronger first impression and are more durable than lightweight alternatives.
A typo on 500 business cards is an expensive mistake. Always review your proof carefully before approving it for print.
A great business card should make it easy for someone to remember you and contact you later. Here are the essentials every effective business card should include.
Start Here
Your Name & Company
Include your name, company name, and job title. This is the foundation of every business card and should be the easiest information to find.
Make It Easy
Phone, Email & Website
Include the contact information customers are most likely to use. Many businesses today list a mobile number, email address, and website while leaving off a physical address.
Build Recognition
Logo & Brand Colors
Your business card should feel like an extension of your brand. Consistent colors, typography, and logo placement help customers recognize you across every marketing piece.
Modern Touch
QR Codes
A QR code can instantly send customers to your website, online portfolio, Google reviews, appointment scheduler, digital business card, or social media profile with a single scan.
Don't Waste the Back
Use Both Sides
The back of your business card is valuable space. Add a services list, loyalty stamp area, appointment reminder, map, coupon, social media links, or another call-to-action that encourages customers to keep your card.
Every business card shares the same goal — making a memorable first impression. Here's a quick guide to help you choose the right stock and options for your brand.
Professional Standard
120# Cover Stock
A durable, professional-weight business card that's perfect for everyday networking, customer meetings, and events. It offers an excellent balance of quality, appearance, and value.
Premium Upgrade
130# Cover Stock
A thicker, more substantial business card that immediately feels more premium in the hand. Ideal for executives, luxury brands, real estate professionals, attorneys, and anyone who wants to make a stronger first impression.
Vibrant Color
Gloss Cover
Gloss coating produces rich, vibrant colors and sharp photographs. It's an excellent choice for restaurants, retail businesses, photographers, salons, and any brand with colorful graphics.
Classic Professional
Smooth Cover
Smooth Cover has a clean, non-gloss finish that's easy to write on. A favorite for attorneys, accountants, consultants, financial advisors, healthcare providers, and anyone wanting a refined, understated appearance.
Optional Upgrade
Rounded Corners
Rounded corners give your cards a softer, modern appearance while helping reduce bent corners from everyday use. A simple upgrade that helps your business card stand apart.
PDF or JPG? A print-ready PDF is preferred because it preserves text, logos, vector graphics, and layout positioning. High-resolution JPG files are also accepted when they are prepared at 300 dpi in CMYK color mode at the final printed size.
Download the template that matches your card size and orientation. Templates include bleed, trim, and safe zone guides. Keep all text and logos within the safe zone — at least 0.125" from the trim edge.
120# Gloss Cover is a bright, polished everyday business card stock. 120# Smooth Cover has a non-glossy feel with reduced glare and is easier to write on. 130# Gloss Cover is thicker with a premium glossy finish, while 130# Smooth Cover offers Bellia’s heaviest non-glossy option for a refined, upscale feel.
Standard 3.5" × 2" business cards are the most common choice and fit wallets, card holders, and badge holders. Square 2.5" × 2.5" cards stand out more and work well for creative brands, premium networking, and designs that need a distinctive format.
Yes. You can print full color on the front only or full color on both sides. The back of the card is useful for appointment details, QR codes, social media handles, service lists, taglines, or a secondary message.
Use clear fonts, strong contrast, and keep all text, logos, QR codes, and important information at least 0.125" inside the trim edge so they are not accidentally trimmed during production.
Thin borders close to the edge can look uneven because slight cutting variation is normal. If your design uses a border, keep it well inside the safe zone. If your background color or image should run to the edge, extend it 0.125" beyond the trim edge into the bleed area.
Slight color differences are normal because screens display RGB light while commercial printing uses CMYK inks or toners. For best results, submit artwork in CMYK color mode.
Submit a print-ready PDF or high-resolution JPG in CMYK color mode. Artwork should be prepared at 300 dpi at the final printed size. Include 0.125" bleed on all sides when backgrounds, photographs, or colors print to the edge. Download the template from the Templates tab for the correct trim, bleed, and safe-zone guides. Before submitting your order, carefully review your artwork, spelling, layout, images, QR codes, and sizing to make sure everything is correct.
Once you upload your artwork, you’ll review it and check a confirmation box verifying it’s correct before your order moves into production — there’s no separate proof step for uploaded artwork. If our in-house design team creates your business card for you, we’ll share a design proof for your approval before it goes to print.
